Free Suicide Intervention Training Offered in Paden City

A free, full-day suicide intervention training will be held in Paden City on April 7, 2025, offering community members valuable tools to recognize and respond when someone may be at risk of suicide.

The training, titled Meet Them in the Middle, is open to the public and will take place from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The program is typically offered at a cost of $350 per participant, but organizer and trainer Michelle Toman is personally covering all expenses to ensure the training is accessible to anyone who wishes to attend.

Advance registration is required, and space is limited. Participants must register by April 3 at 5:00 PM. Registered attendees will receive the training location and pre-course materials approximately 72 hours before the event.

The session will be led by trainers Michelle Toman and Barri Faucett and is open to anyone interested in learning how to support individuals during a mental health crisis. This effort comes at a critical time, as West Virginia continues to face challenges related to suicide prevention resources.

For more information or to register, individuals may contact Michelle Toman at 304-266-7683 or email michelle@BrotherUp.org. Online registration is also available.
